상해에 자회사를 설립하고, 과일가공(Merry Life)과 참치가공(Poseidon) 합자법인을 운영하며 2008년 연결 매출 약 1억 달러를 달성했습니다.
현재는 직접 운영을 종료했으나, 금일식품(Today Foods) 등 당시 협력사들과의 기술·공급 네트워크는 유지하고 있습니다.

컵과일 생산
같은 시기, Merryfoods는 Loblaw 등 글로벌 유통 파트너사의 지원을 받아 중국에 컵과일 생산라인을 구축했습니다.
이탈리아산 설비를 도입하고 다양한 산지의 과일을 활용하며 수많은 운영상의 도전을 극복한 끝에, Dole, Del Monte 등 세계적인 브랜드에 제품을 공급하는
혁신적인 제품 라인을 성공적으로 완성했습니다.

참치 생산
2000년대 초반, Merryfoods는 중국 파트너와 함께 참치 가공 사업에 새롭게 진출했습니다. 당시 양측 모두에게 도전적인 신사업 분야였지만, 이 합작은 곧 중국 최대 규모의 참치 가공 클러스터로 성장하며 업계의 기준을 세웠습니다. 15년 이상 성공적으로 운영된 이 사업을 통해, Merryfoods는 대규모 수산물 생산 관리에 대한 풍부한 노하우와 역량을 축적할 수 있었습니다.

Ningbo Today Foods Company
Formerly Merryfoods’ joint-venture partner in tuna processing, Ningbo Today Foods is now China’s largest tuna processor. Operating two advanced plants with over 1,000 employees, the company has a daily processing capacity of more than 150 tons and annual output exceeding 50,000 tons, generating sales of around USD 120 million per year. Products are exported across the Americas and Europe, while also serving China’s growing domestic market.
Today Foods’ Second Factory Expansion
Today Foods is currently constructing its second factory, scheduled for completion by the end of October. The new facility is designed with advanced automation, including 10 sterilization kettles, robotic production systems, and unmanned warehouse logistics. This modern setup will greatly enhance efficiency and strengthen the company’s smart manufacturing capabilities.
